Well we’ve made it to Auckland, having lost Monday somewhere along the way.
I got a warm welcome going through Security when my backpack moved into the naughty people’s lane. They didn’t approve of the nice bottle of maple syrup I bought at Vancouver airport as it had more than 100 mls of syrup. I bought it for the bottle with the nice maple leaf etched on but the stony faced man didn’t care about that. Would have been fine if it was in my case. Hadn’t even thought about it as a liquid.
We’ve got about an hour and a half before we board the final 4 hour flight home. I calculated about 36 hours to get home from Toronto.
Very much looking forward to home now.
Damn about the Maple Syrup...as I said on Polarsteps. Enjoy the comforts of home and reflecting upon your super duper experiences. Hard to believe you are a drive from home now. Tony and I are enjoying some quiet time at Torquay and Warrnambool. xxx
